Privacy policy

This policy covers https://usatidechart.com. The publisher is established in France: the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything the site does, for every visitor, and residents of US states with a consumer privacy law, California among them, keep at least the rights listed here.

This site sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device: no account, no tracking identifier, no saved settings.

2. Your location

"Use my location" asks your browser for your position. If you accept, the position is compared with the list of stations inside the page to find the nearest ones, and that is all: it is not sent to us or to anyone, not stored, and forgotten when you close the page. You can refuse and pick a station from the list instead.

3. What your browser downloads

When you choose a station or a distant date, your browser downloads that station's prediction file from this site. Like every web host, GitHub records the IP address, time, page requested and browser type of each request to keep the service secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention follows GitHub's policy.

Anonymous stability monitoring, without cookies

To find broken pages and scripts, the site loads Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin) in its cookie-free mode: errors, loading times, clicks that lead nowhere and scrolling are measured per page view, without cookies and without linking visits; page content and inputs are masked. Microsoft receives the technical data of the request, including the IP address. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object by blocking clarity.ms or by writing to us.

E-mails

If you write to us, we keep your address and message to answer, and delete them three years after the last exchange.

4. No sale, no sharing

We do not sell or share personal information and build no profiles. There is no advertising on the site.

5. Transfers

The host, GitHub, Inc., is in the United States; request data may be processed there under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing, by writing to contact@usatidechart.com; we answer within one month. You may also complain to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) (https://www.cnil.fr).

7. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from them.
