NOAA predicts Rehoboth Beach from the Ocean City, Maryland, fishing pier, with high water 15 minutes later and somewhat larger heights.
Shaded: night. Green bands: solunar periods (thick = major, thin = minor). Heights in feet above Mean Lower Low Water, the zero of NOAA charts.

Station Rehoboth Beach (NOAA 8557863). Predicted astronomical tide: wind, river flow and storms can move the real water by a foot or more. 4.3 ft is the average daily range here.

Tide times for Rehoboth Beach come from the National Ocean Service prediction for station 8557863, Rehoboth Beach, a subordinate station whose highs and lows NOAA corrects from OCEAN CITY (FISHING PIER). The tide here is semidiurnal: two highs and two lows of similar height every day, about six hours and a quarter apart, with an average daily range of 4.3 ft. Around the new and full moon the range grows to about 5.6 ft on one day in ten, and at the quarter moons it shrinks to 3.1 ft. Heights are in feet above Mean Lower Low Water, the zero of nautical charts, so a negative number is water below that zero: 185 of the 457 days from October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027 have one, down to -1.5 ft on January 23, 2027. The highest predicted tide of that period is 5.6 ft on November 25, 2026. Clock times are Eastern Time, daylight saving time included.
An ocean town predicted from Maryland
Rehoboth Beach has no reference gauge of its own. NOAA takes the Ocean City fishing pier, about 27 miles down the coast, adds 15 minutes to high water and 8 to low water, and multiplies the heights by 1.13 at high water and 1.33 at low water. The result, an average day of 4.3 ft from low to high, is the tide of the open ocean beach in front of the boardwalk. Between those highs and lows, the curve here follows the shape of the Ocean City reference.
Lakes and inlets around town
Silver Lake and Lake Gerar inside town are not tidal; the tide of the region enters the land through Indian River Inlet, seven and a half miles south, and through the mouth of Delaware Bay to the north. Lewes, on the bay, turns roughly 45 minutes to an hour later than Rehoboth. Indian River Inlet has its own reference station, and its current is notoriously strong, a place for experienced boaters.
Low tide on the boardwalk beach
The beach in front of the boardwalk is narrow in places, and a high tide on an onshore wind can push the swash close to the dune fence. The lowest predicted low of the period is -1.5 ft, on January 23, 2027, and the highest high 5.6 ft, on November 25, 2026. Rip currents can form at any tide; the National Weather Service rip current page explains the signs.
Highest and lowest tides at Rehoboth Beach, 2026 to 2027
The six highest highs and six lowest lows predicted for Rehoboth Beach between October 1, 2026 and December 31, 2027, one per day. The high-water dates are the king tides of this station; the low-water dates are the best days to see the flats, bars and tide pools.

A subordinate station
NOAA predicts Rehoboth Beach from the reference station OCEAN CITY (FISHING PIER) (8570280): high water 15 minutes later, low water 8 minutes later, heights multiplied by 1.13 at high water and 1.33 at low water. Between those highs and lows the curve on this page follows the shape of the reference station's hourly curve.
